Queen is a British rock band created in 1971 in London. This is one of the most successful rock bands of all time. "News of the World" is the sixth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on October 28, 1977. Recorded at Sarm and Wessex Sound studios in London. In 1977, punk rock bands, particularly the Sex Pistols, caused a massive backlash against progressive rock acts such as Queen. This album is the band's answer, they simplified the sound and moved to a more spontaneous hard rock. The album reached number four in the UK Albums Chart and number three on the US Top Albums, receiving high certifications worldwide. The lead singles "We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" became rock anthems and achieved major chart success. "News of the World" is considered one of Queen's best albums.
