Diana Kroll is a famous Canadian jazz pianist and singer. She was born on November 16, 1964, in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. During her career, Diana sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, including more than six million in the United States. This makes her one of the most successful jazz performers of our time. Diana Kroll began learning to play the piano at the age of four and showed exceptional musical ability at an early age. At school, she was an active member of a jazz group, and at the age of 15 she began performing professionally in local restaurants. Kroll continued her musical education at Berklee College in Boston, where she studied from 1981 to 1983. Diana Kroll's first album, Stepping Out, was released in 1993. It immediately attracted the attention of jazz fans and received high praise from critics.

The album "The Look of Love" by Diana Kroll was released in 2001 and became her sixth album. For this album, the singer collaborated with producer Tommy LePuma and received the help of veteran arranger Klaus Ogerman. The album features ballads you'd hear in a closed bar at the last hour: George Gershwin's “S'Wonderful,” Johnny Mercer's “I Remember You,” Arthur Hamilton's “Cry Me a River” (also known as the Julie London song), “ The Night We Called It a Day”, “Dancing in the Dark” and of course “The Look of Love” by Burt Bahar and Hal David. All these songs are performed incredibly gracefully.
