After completing Innuendo, Freddie Mercury recorded a large amount of vocals, asking the band to finish the songs later. According to David Richards, Freddie usually waited until the instrumental versions of the songs were finished before recording the vocals. However, this time he seemed to feel that he did not have enough time to finish the album. The title of the album "Made In Heaven" is metaphorically related to Mercury's voice, which was "made in heaven" when he recorded his voice immediately after his death. This album reflects nostalgia and melancholy, reflecting the absence of legendary vocalist Freddie Mercury.
