The Rolling Stones No. 2 is the second studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released in 1965 following the success of their 1964 debut album. The album contains three compositions written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who were just beginning their songwriting collaboration, with the rest of the tracks being cover versions of American R&B and rock 'n' roll songs, similar to their first album. Although the album cover in the Netherlands and Germany lists the title as The Rolling Stones Vol. 2, the back cover states The Rolling Stones No. 2. There is also a Dutch pressing titled The Rolling Stones No. 3. The album became a huge hit in the UK, spending 10 weeks at number one in 1965 and becoming one of the year's biggest sellers. Although it was not officially released in the US until 1972, the album remained popular and was widely bootlegged by collectors.
