The VYO is a Ukrainian music band that was formed in 1991 in Kobelyaky, Poltava region. The band became a pioneer of the pop-reggae style in Ukraine and had a significant influence on the Ukrainian music scene. After their success at the «Chervona Ruta» festival in 1995, the band gained popularity with hits like «Gandzha» and «Zori». After a temporary break in their career, the band resumed activity in 2008, releasing the album «Ganja». Known for their unique style, the band members also actively participated in public events, including during the Euromaidan protests. The band continues to perform, gaining new fans.
Vyroby z plastmasy is the debut album by the band «The VYO», released in 1999, which quickly became popular. It is the first Ukrainian pop-reggae album, remaining relevant and modern for over 20 years. Now the album has been released on vinyl in a limited edition of 199 copies, each hand-numbered, and includes a booklet. This special edition reaffirms that the Ukrainian language can sound great in any style, even pop-reggae. The first 99 copies come with the signatures of the band members.
