AlphaTheta's DJ business began as a division of Pioneer Corporation in 1994, when it released the world's first commercially available flat-top DJ CD player — CDJ-500. It was praised by top DJs and as word spread throughout the dance music world it received a lot of media attention, rave reviews and prestigious awards. As a member of the team that developed the CDJ-500, AlphaTheta President Yoshinori Kataoka is still very proud of how it was received.
In 2024, it will be 9 years since AlphaTheta gained independence from the Pioneer corporation. This year they are proud to launch new products under the AlphaTheta brand that will take them into the future while maintaining the quality and innovation you have come to expect from them. These products will feature the AlphaTheta brand logo, which symbolizes diversity and growth, as well as the merging of different energies that resonate harmoniously.
