The Fender Custom Shop Limited Hotshot Telecaster Relic (Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst) is a sophisticated, rebellious guitar that combines the best of the Telecaster and Stratocaster to create a versatile instrument for stage and studio. It looks, sounds, and feels like a guitar that's been in the field for decades, but with a build that meets the highest Fender Custom Shop standards.
The body is made of two pieces of select ash and is finished with a thin layer of nitrocellulose lacquer in a warm Chocolate 3 Tone Sunburst colorway. The Relic finish creates the effect of natural aging, giving the instrument the look of a real legend with a rich history. This is complemented by a parchment binding that adds sophistication and emphasizes the vintage aesthetic.
The AAA figured maple neck features a 1957-style Soft “V” profile that fits comfortably in the hand, allowing you to play both chords and solos with ease. The 7.25“ to 9.5” scale radius combined with narrow high frets provides smooth bends, precise intonation, and comfort for any style of playing, from blues to country to rock 'n' roll.
The unique pickup configuration expands the sound palette. The neck and middle positions are equipped with hand-wound Texas Special Strat pickups, which provide a warm, medium-saturated tone with a distinctive glassy attack. The bridge position features an aggressive Hand-Wound Loaded '51 Nocaster, which adds a classic twang with a modern twist. Convenient control is realized through a 3-way switch, volume and tone controls, all of which allow you to fine-tune the sound to your own playing style.
A classic '58-'63 Telecaster bridge with three brass saddles provides stability, resonance, and vintage feel, while vintage Fender logo pickups ensure a secure setup. Chrome/nickel hardware completes the look of a true period piece while still being a model of modern quality.
