The Yamaha NCX1 is a classical pickup guitar that combines a traditional body shape with modern technology to deliver exceptional playing comfort and great sound in the studio and on stage. It's designed for musicians who are used to acoustic or electric guitars but want to discover the deep, rich tone of nylon strings. The solid Sitka spruce top contributes to a clear, resonant sound, while the nato or okume back and sides add warmth and natural resonance.
The 94-100mm body depth and classic Yamaha CG Cutaway shape create the perfect combination of acoustic performance and ergonomics. Thanks to the narrow nato neck and walnut fingerboard, even guitarists accustomed to acoustic models can play the instrument comfortably. The bridge, which combines ebony and walnut, contributes to a stable sustain and accurate transmission of string vibrations.
The guitar is equipped with Yamaha's signature piezoelectric pickup with a three-band equalizer and parametric midrange, which allows for flexible tone adjustment. The control panel also features a chromatic tuner for fine-tuning, and power is provided by standard AA fingerboard batteries. Thanks to the chrome pegs with black handles, the instrument maintains a stable tone even during long performances.
