Description

Sex Pistols are an English punk rock band formed in London in 1975. Despite a short career that lasted just two and a half years, the band became one of the most influential acts in popular music. They initiated the punk movement in the UK and influenced many later punk, post-punk, and alternative bands. The original lineup included vocalist Johnny Rotten, guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock, who was replaced by Sid Vicious in 1977. In 1978, the band disbanded. They reunited for concerts in 1996, and in 2024, a tour was held with Frank Carter. The Sex Pistols are recognized as one of the most influential bands, having been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, although they refused to attend the ceremony.

Never Mind the Bollocks is the only studio album by the English punk rock band Sex Pistols, released on 28 October 1977 in the UK and 11 November 1977 in the US. During the recording of the album, the band underwent several lineup changes: bassist Glen Matlock left, and was replaced by Sid Vicious, who played on only a few tracks due to lack of skill. Most of the bass parts were played by guitarist Steve Jones. The album sparked controversy due to its provocative title and the band's scandalous behavior. Despite censorship and bans, the album debuted at number one on the UK charts and went gold a few weeks after its release. Its influence on music and the industry is immense, often considered the most influential punk album and one of the best in history.

The album contains 12 tracks.
