Anne-Sophie Mutter is a German violinist, born on June 29, 1963 in Rheinfelden, Baden-Württemberg. She started playing the violin at the age of five and made her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1977. Mutter has recorded more than 50 albums, mostly with Deutsche Grammophon, and performed as a soloist with the world's leading orchestras. Mutter is known for performing, recording and commissioning new works by contemporary composers. She has received numerous awards and prizes, including four Grammy Awards.
Yo-Yo Ma is an American cellist, born on October 7, 1955 in Paris in a Chinese family. Ma has released more than 90 albums and won 19 Grammy Awards. His repertoire spans both standard classical works and folk music, including American bluegrass, traditional Chinese tunes, Astor Piazzolla tango and Brazilian music. Ma has also collaborated with various artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Carlos Santana, Chris Botti, Diana Kroll, James Taylor, Miley Cyrus and Sting. He has been a UN Ambassador of Peace since 2006 and has received numerous recognitions including the Glenn Gould Award, the National Medal of Arts, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Kennedy Center Honors, and others.
Daniel Barenboim is an outstanding Argentine pianist and conductor. He was chief music director of the Berlin State Opera and conducted the Staatskapelle Berlin. He has received numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards, an honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire, the French Legion of Honor, and the Grand Cross of the German Federal Order with Star and Ribbon.
