At the core of the RD-6-LM is a fully analog signal path, guaranteeing a warm, rich, and lively sound. The drum machine features 8 authentic drum sounds: a punchy bass drum, a snare drum, sizzling open and closed hi-hats, two toms, and a cymbal. To give your parts an aggressive character and added texture, the drum machine is equipped with a built-in distortion effect, modeled after the famous DS-1 (RAT) pedal. The distortion's level and tone controls allow for fine-tuning the amount of grit, from a gentle warmth to extreme overload.

The creative process is greatly simplified by the intuitive 16-step sequencer. It allows you to easily create and edit rhythmic patterns in real-time, switching between 32 separate patterns. For building full-fledged compositions, a Song Mode is included, enabling you to chain patterns together for a total length of up to 256 bars. This is perfect for live performances and jam sessions where freedom of improvisation and on-the-fly track building are essential.

The RD-6-LM integrates easily into any modern studio environment. A USB port allows you to sync the drum machine with your DAW and control it via MIDI. Classic 5-pin MIDI In, Out, and Thru jacks ensure compatibility with external hardware. For flexible routing and individual processing of each instrument, there are 6 separate audio outputs. Additionally, the inclusion of Sync I/O and trigger outputs makes the RD-6-LM a versatile device for working with modular and vintage gear.
