StarSticks Hornbeam 5A Hybrid drumsticks are an upgraded version of the classic 5A model, designed for percussionists who need a little more weight and control. Made from selected Ukrainian hornbeam of the highest grade, these sticks undergo a meticulous treatment, from multi-stage drying to high-precision, program-controlled turning. This results in high strength, balance and stability in playing.
Compared to the standard 5A model, the 5A Hybrid has a larger diameter - 14.5mm vs. 14mm - for added weight and a tighter sound and better control, especially in the mid to high dynamic range. The length remains unchanged at 406mm. The Barrel-shaped wooden tip provides a clear attack and warm sound. G4's proprietary G4 hard wax impregnation provides moisture and UV resistance, extending the life of the sticks.
