Vic Firth American Classic Extreme 5B drumsticks are a powerful version of the iconic 5B model with an extended length for expanded reach and maximum dynamics. The Extreme series was created in response to requests from professional musicians who needed more leverage, range of motion, and striking power—without sacrificing control.

The X5B model is 16.5" (41.9 cm) long, which is 1/2 inch longer than the standard 5B. This provides an advantage in reaching the drum kit and allows you to maintain your strength when playing powerfully. At the same time, the diameter of the stick remains unchanged at 0.595" (1.51 cm), maintaining the familiar feel in the hand.

The classic teardrop-shaped wooden tip provides a warm cymbal sound and controlled hits on the drumhead. Made from American hickory, a wood with excellent shock absorption properties, the sticks are resistant to prolonged impact loads.

Vic Firth Extreme 5B is the perfect choice for drummers who play in genres where energy, volume, and presence are important — from hard rock to metal.
