Output Expander (Break-Out Box) BSS Soundweb London BLU-BOB1

The BSS Soundweb London BLU-BOB1 analog output expander is a compact breakout box that provides 8 balanced analog outputs for Soundweb London systems. It receives a digital audio signal via the BLU Link bus and converts it into analog for output to external equipment.

The BLU Link digital bus supports up to 256 channels and uses standard Category 5e cabling for distances up to 100 meters between devices. With fiber optic media converters, the distance can be extended to over 10 km. Output channel selection is configured using six DIP switches on the rear panel, allowing any 8-channel block to be selected from the available range.

The device includes front panel LED indicators showing power and signal presence. The outputs use Euroblock (screw-type) connectors for reliable connections. The BLU-BOB1 features a half-rack width chassis that can be mounted on a desk, wall, or in a rack. A 12V DC external power supply is included.
