Landscape Acoustics JBL Control 89MS

The JBL Control 89MS is a passive ground-mounted subwoofer designed specifically to complement outdoor sound systems with rich low frequencies. It is ideal for use in hotel and restaurant areas, landscaping, parks, resorts, sports facilities, and other outdoor spaces where it is important to combine sophisticated design, durability, and high-quality sound.

Inside the enclosure is an 8-inch long-throw driver with a polypropylene cone, TPV surround, and 2-inch voice coil on a fiberglass frame. This design delivers clean, powerful bass up to 115 dB with a frequency range of 40 to 150 Hz. A built-in crossover with a variable slope filter provides a smooth transition to other JBL landscape speakers, including the Control 80 series models.

The Control 89MS supports connection in both 8-ohm mode (150 W direct power / 600 W peak) and via a 70/100 V transformer (80 W), providing flexibility in audio system design. The rugged polyethylene enclosure withstands harsh weather conditions and impacts from garden equipment, has an IP56 rating, and all external elements are made of stainless steel, including a powder-coated, corrosion-resistant grille. The sealed mounting chamber makes installation safe even in challenging conditions.
