The Electro-Voice EVID-EC4.2 is a high-quality coaxial two-way ceiling loudspeaker with a 4-inch woofer that combines excellent sound quality, reliability, and elegant design. Thanks to its low-profile enclosure and wide coverage angle (135°), it is ideal for background music and voice reinforcement in shops, restaurants, conference rooms, hotels, and other commercial venues.
The system has a transformer for operation in 70/100 V lines with a power switch on the front panel, allowing you to easily adjust the volume to suit the conditions of the space. In addition, an 8 Ohm connection mode is available. Despite its compact size, the EVID-EC4.2 provides wideband sound with a frequency range from 80 Hz to 20 kHz, reaching a peak sound pressure of 112 dB.
The housing is made of high-strength metal and fire-resistant plastic (UL 94V-0), and the grille is powder-coated in signal white (RAL 9003). Installation is carried out using a mounting ring and a complete tile beam, which ensures secure fastening in suspended ceilings made of mineral wool or fibrous materials. The 4-pin connector block allows the use of wires with a cross-section of up to 3.3 mm² and also provides a through connection to other loudspeakers.
The EVID-EC4.2 is UL 1480A and UL 2043 certified, safe for use in ventilation ducts. With a high IP45 rating, the system is also protected against dust and moisture, making it a durable solution for everyday commercial use.
