TheMonitor Audio CSS230 is an innovative in-ceiling loudspeaker with an extremely slim enclosure designed for optimal sound in tight spaces. Featuring three patented 3-inch C-CAM midrange drivers, it delivers bass levels similar to a 6.5-inch driver, but with an amazingly shallow installation depth of just 50 mm. The CSS230 features a closed back box that maintains an ideal air load for the drivers, stabilizing midrange and bass performance regardless of wall construction.
The enclosure is made of high-strength ABS polymer to minimize resonances and ensure clear sound. The Monitor Audio CSS230 in-wall speaker is an excellent choice for rooms where traditional in-wall speakers are difficult to install. Despite its slim design, the CSS230 delivers a sound level that meets Hi-Fi standards.
The crossover system uses high-quality components such as film capacitors and low-loss inductors to maintain signal purity, dynamics and sound detail. The Tri-Grip II system guarantees simple and reliable installation, making installation easy and safe.
The model also features a hybrid performance control option, allowing for either a closed or open rear enclosure, providing flexibility in performance and sound isolation customization. The CSS230 can be equipped with a 249 x 249mm square grille or a premium PG6-R round grille, which are available separately.
