The Zoom EXH-8 external module dramatically expands the capabilities of the Zoom H8 recorder. It easily transforms the portable device into a multi-channel studio by adding four additional XLR microphone inputs. This allows for the simultaneous recording of up to 10 independent sound sources, making it an ideal solution for recording entire musical groups, large podcasts, or complex audio setups for video.

Each of the four inputs on the EXH-8 module is equipped with its own analog gain control and a pad switch, allowing for quick and precise signal level adjustments for each source without needing to enter the recorder's menu. This is especially convenient when working with high-volume sources like drums or guitar amplifiers.

The module also supports the use of studio condenser microphones. To supply phantom power, simply connect an external power source, such as a power bank or an AC adapter, to the dedicated port on the EXH-8 capsule.
