Aerosmith is a famous American rock band formed in Boston in 1970. The band members are vocalist Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Brad Whitford. Their musical style is deeply rooted in blues rock but also incorporates elements of pop rock, heavy metal, glam metal, and rhythm and blues. Aerosmith is known for their numerous multi-platinum albums, starting with their debut album "Aerosmith" (1973) and the follow-up "Get Your Wings" (1974).

Nine Lives is the twelfth studio album by American rock band Aerosmith, released on March 18, 1997. It marked the band's first studio album with Columbia Records since 1982. The album's production was challenging: due to drummer Joey Kramer's depression and a change of management, recording was delayed, and the initial songs produced with Glen Ballard did not satisfy the label. After bringing in new producer Kevin Shirley, the band re-recorded the material at Avatar Studios in New York, with Kramer returning to work. The album blends Aerosmith’s signature sound with new elements, such as Indian influences in the song "Taste of India." The title track "Nine Lives" became a symbol of the album’s turbulent creation. The album’s artwork also stirred controversy, leading to a redesign after protests from the Hindu community. The record topped the Billboard 200 chart and sold over two million copies in the United States.
