Cheev (real name Vladyslav Chyzhykov) is a Belarusian and Ukrainian singer and songwriter. He was born on December 31, 1993, in Bobruisk, Belarus. He gained popularity as the winner of the National Music Award "Lyra" (2017) and a finalist of the Belarusian national selection for Eurovision (2016, 2018). He participated in the Belarusian project "Academy of Talents 2" and Ukrainian shows "X-Factor" and "The Voice of Ukraine". Since 2019, he has been writing songs in Ukrainian. His music video for "Harno tak" became a hit, gathering over 8 million views on YouTube and topping the Apple Music Ukraine chart.
Noir is Cheev's second full-length album, inspired by the black-and-white cinematography of the 1940s. It is an emotional and sensual album filled with hope and optimism, where the artist reinterprets the noir genre through the modern context of the war in Ukraine. While classic noir is associated with pessimism, Cheev uses it to convey faith in a better future. The limited edition vinyl release in "Blue Galaxy" style is produced in 249 copies and includes a booklet with lyrics, an insert, and an OBI strip.
