Description

Deep Purple is a British rock band formed in London in 1967. He is known as a pioneer of heavy metal and modern hard rock, but his musical style has changed over the years. Initially, the band performed in the genres of psychedelic and progressive rock, but from 1970 the sound became heavier. The band is also known for their high-profile performances, including a 1972 performance at the Rainbow Theater in London that earned them a Guinness World Record for being the "loudest band on the planet".

The album "Who Do We Think We Are" by Deep Purple was a kind of crossroads in their work. Released in 1973, this album marked not only changes in sound but also reflected a turbulent period in the group. Changing their musical palette, Deep Purple moved in the direction of a more bluesy sound, even experimenting with scat singing. It was the last album with Mark II featuring Ian Gillan on vocals and Roger Glover on bass until their return in 1984. Despite the internal split in the group, the album was a commercial success. Especially impressive was the single "Woman from Tokyo", which had an energetic hard rock tone and became one of their hits.

The album contains 7 tracks.

  • Side A:
    • Woman From Tokyo
    • Mary Long
    • Super Trouper
    • Smooth Dancer
  • Side B:
    • Rat Rat Blue
    • Place In Line
    • Our Lady
