Description

Eric Clapton is a British rock musician, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, winner of numerous Grammy Awards and one of the most influential guitarists in the history of modern music. His work covers a wide range of genres, from delta blues to pop and reggae. Clapton is known as a member of The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Cream, as well as a successful solo artist. His name has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, and his singles “Layla”, “Tears in Heaven” and “Change the World” have become classics of the world stage. His sincerity, skill, and unique style earned him the status of a “slow hand” and left a deep mark on music culture.

461 Ocean Boulevard is the second studio album by Eric Clapton, released in 1974 after a three-year hiatus caused by personal problems. The album's title refers to the address in Golden Beach, Florida, where Clapton lived during the recording. The record became a landmark in his career - not only as a triumphant return, but also as a new stage in his sound: less experimental, more balanced, with elements of reggae, soft rock and blues. The album's main hit, I Shot the Sheriff, a cover of Bob Marley's song, helped open up reggae to a wider audience and topped the US charts. Other tracks, such as Let It Grow and Motherless Children, showcased Clapton's emotional depth and skill as a performer and arranger. The album was a huge commercial success, going double platinum and critically acclaimed as one of the key records of the 1970s.

The album contains 10 tracks:

Side A:

  • A1. Motherless Children
  • A2. Give Me Strength
  • A3. Willie And The Hand Jive
  • A4. Get Ready
  • A5. I Shot The Sheriff

Side B:

  • B1. I Can't Hold Out
  • B2. Please Be With Me
  • B3. Let It Grow
  • B4. Steady Rollin' Man
  • B5. Mainline Florida
