Lang Lang is a Chinese pianist known for his performances with leading orchestras and concert halls around the world. He started playing the piano at the age of three and quickly gained recognition, winning various competitions in China and abroad. Won first place at the international competition of young pianists in Germany. Lang Lang has performed with leading American orchestras and conductors, attracting attention for his talent and skill.
"Goldberg Variations" is Lang Lang's spectacular and extravagant performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's work, with considerable experimentation in tempo and interpretation. His performance is marked by charisma and skill. Lang Lang's performance was marked by fast tempos and extended exaggerations in the slow parts. This was Bach's first major performance for Lang Lang, and he recorded it on a grand scale, adding interesting embellishments and variations in dynamics to each variation.
