Antonio Vivaldi is one of the most prominent composers of the Baroque era, a virtuoso violinist and priest who composed more than 500 concertos, dozens of operas, cantatas and other works. His most famous work is the cycle of violin concertos The Four Seasons, which has remained a symbol of the emotional power of classical music for more than three centuries. Vivaldi not only masterfully combined Baroque splendor with technical virtuosity, but also had a profound influence on subsequent generations of composers, including Johann Sebastian Bach.

Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi - The New Four Seasons is a bold reimagining of the legendary cycle “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi, performed by violinist Daniel Hope and the Berliner Konzerthausorchester under the baton of Andre de Ridder. Richter didn't just arrange the original – he re-constructed it, keeping only 25% of the original music. Vivaldi's parts are integrated into post-minimalist structures with phase shifts, repetition, and ambient coloration. This is a modern vision of the classics, which, while retaining the emotional essence of the original, offers the listener a new, fresh sound. The album has been highly praised by both music lovers and critics alike, and has become a landmark example of a dialogue between eras in music.
