Metallica is a legendary band founded in 1981 in Los Angeles. Currently, the band's lineup includes James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo, who have become recognized masters and innovators in the thrash metal genre. The band's work stands out for its enormous energy, complex arrangements and deep lyrics. Their albums such as Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning and ...And Justice for All are considered classics of the genre and have influenced many other musicians. One of the most complex and at the same time powerful parts of Metallica's music is their lyrics, which touch on such important topics as justice, social issues and the inner search for the meaning of life. The musicians masterfully combine aggression with emotional depth, evoking reflection and counter-proposal. In addition, Metallica is known for its explosive live performances. Despite being an integral part of the Great Thrash Metal Four, the band is not limited to one genre. Over the course of their many years of work, they have tried such styles as hard rock, heavy and speed metal, etc.
Master of Puppets is the third studio album by Metallica, released in 1986. The album became a critical and commercial success, reaching number 29 on the Billboard 200 chart and being certified gold by the RIAA. It is considered one of the most important albums in the thrash metal genre and one of the best metal albums of all time. The album demonstrates Metallica's growing skill as musicians and composers. The songs are more complex and ambitious than on their previous album Ride the Lightning. They also contain more social and political themes, such as drugs, mass control, and social injustice.
