Nirvana is a legendary American rock band formed in 1987 in Aberdeen, Washington. They became one of the most influential musical groups of the 1990s and pioneers of the "grunge" style. The band consisted of three main members: Kurt Cobain (vocals, guitar), Krist Novoselic (bass guitar), and Dave Grohl (drums), who joined the band in 1990. Despite their brief existence, Nirvana left a profound mark on the history of music. The band disbanded in 1994 after Kurt Cobain's tragic death. However, their influence is still felt today, and Nirvana continues to inspire new generations of musicians and listeners.

Live at Reading is a recording of Nirvana's live performance at the Reading Festival in the UK on August 30, 1992. The album was released on November 2, 2009. This concert became Nirvana's last in the UK and took place after the birth of Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean. At the time, rumors were circulating about the band's possible breakup due to Cobain's struggles with addiction and tension within the group. The performance became iconic, particularly due to Cobain's ironic entrance on stage in a wheelchair, as well as the performance of new songs from the upcoming album In Utero. The setlist included songs from Nevermind, their debut Bleach, and several rare tracks. After the concert, the band destroyed their equipment, finishing the performance by playing the U.S. national anthem.
