Description

Palindrom (Stepan Burban) is a Ukrainian musician from Lviv. He began his career as a rapper in the group Hlava 94 under the alias Kashlyayuchyy Ed, but later launched his solo project Palindrom, marking a new chapter in his creative path. His music combines elements of new wave, lo-fi, trip-hop, and synth-pop, while the lyrics reflect personal thoughts, memories, and observations. Albums like “Pro sogodni, zavtra i vchora” and “Stiny mayut vukha” received high praise from critics, establishing the artist as a distinctive composer, director, and producer. During the full-scale war, Burban became actively involved in cultural resistance, releasing music and participating in charity events — preserving the voice of the modern Ukrainian scene.

The album “Pro sogodni, zavtra i vchora” marked a pivotal moment in Stepan Burban’s career, as it introduced Palindrom — a new alter ego detached from rap and immersed in melancholic synth-pop, trip-hop, and new wave. The 10 tracks on vinyl sound like a personal diary of the 90s: echoing childhood memories, vocals recorded on a phone, Depeche Mode tapes, A-Ha vibes, and painful sincerity. The album explores fragility, loss, and hope — with tracks like “Po vodi” and “Harni slova” already becoming hits. These songs go beyond nostalgia — they try to reconnect the cultural thread between generations. Although the final tracks have been critiqued for repetitiveness, the album as a whole is a meaningful gesture of self-exploration — tender, honest, and memorable.

The album contains 10 tracks.
