The Chemical Brothers are a British electronic duo formed by Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands in Manchester in 1992. Dig Your Own Hole is the second studio album by The Chemical Brothers, released on April 7, 1997 via Freestyle Dust and Virgin Records in the UK and Astralwerks in the US. Recorded in 1996-1997, the album was a real breakthrough for the band, reaching number one in the UK charts. It featured guest artists such as Oasis' Noel Gallagher and singer Beth Orton. The album includes iconic tracks that later became classics of electronic music, including “Block Rockin' Beats”, “Setting Sun”, “Electrobank” and “Where Do I Begin”. Thanks to this release, The Chemical Brothers strengthened their status as innovators and influential figures on the world stage. The album became a real milestone in the development of electronic music in the late 90s.
