Roxy Music is a British rock band formed in 1970 by Bryan Ferry and Graham Simpson. The band gained popularity in Europe and Australia, blending elements of glam rock with innovations in electronic music, and significantly influenced the development of punk rock and new wave. They are known for their sophisticated musical and visual style, often experimenting with popular imagery and electronic compositions. After several disbandments, the band reunited in 2001 and continued to perform intermittently, and in 2019, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
For Your Pleasure is the second studio album by British rock band Roxy Music, released on March 23, 1973. It was the last album to feature Brian Eno and marked a more experimental approach compared to their debut album. The album includes elements of phasing and tape loops, creating a unique sonic atmosphere. For Your Pleasure was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, reaching 4th place in the UK charts. The album cover, featuring model Amanda Lear, also became iconic, emphasizing the band's aesthetics associated with luxury and provocation.
