Sting (real name – Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner) – an English musician, actor, and activist, born on October 2, 1951. He became famous as the frontman and bassist of The Police, a band that gained worldwide popularity from 1977 to 1986. After the band disbanded, Sting started a successful solo career, blending rock, jazz, reggae, classical, and world music in his style. For his work, Sting has received 17 Grammy Awards, including the Song of the Year for "Every Breath You Take." His career has also been marked by numerous awards, including a Golden Globe, an Emmy, and four Oscar nominations. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Together with The Police and as a solo artist, Sting has sold over 100 million albums.

The Bridge – the fifteenth studio album by British singer-songwriter Sting, released on November 19, 2021. It is his first rock-oriented album since 2016. The album sees the return of saxophonist Branford Marsalis and drummer Manu Katché. It was created during the pandemic and reflects themes of personal loss, social and political upheaval. The first single, "If It's Love" was released on September 1, 2021. The album received positive reviews, with critics noting the blend of pop-rock with elements of jazz and Celtic music.
