Description

Christian Zimmerman is a prominent Polish pianist and conductor who is internationally recognized for his skill and emotional depth of performance. Zimerman won the 1975 Chopin Piano Competition, becoming the youngest winner in its history. This triumph opened the doors to the world's concert halls, where he gained a reputation as one of the most outstanding interpreters of piano music. Zimmerman's repertoire is wide and varied, but he is best known for his interpretations of works by Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms, Debussy and Szymanowski. His playing is characterized by technical excellence, sophisticated phrasing and a deep understanding of the music.

The Polish Festival Orchestra is a youth symphony orchestra founded in Poland in 1998 by the famous pianist Christian Zimmerman.
