Expanding on that legacy, the all-new Premier Genista Maple 20" 3pc Shell Pack PGM20-3SPPSF offers great versatility for drummers looking for the warmer, richer tone more associated with maple shells, while still retaining the distinctive look of the timeless yet bold tension bolt design that has made it such a favorite for so many.
Genista Maple shells feature premium North American maple backings, offering a balanced, articulate sound with exceptional warmth and incredible low end. The toms and snare shells are 5.6 mm thick and 7 ply, while the bass drum shell is 7.2 mm thick and 9 ply. This ensures a longer sound duration and a punch at low frequencies.
The diameter of the toms has been reduced by 6 mm, which is one of the many innovations Premier has been promoting over the years that offer a more positive setup and even clearer sound quality. All Genista shells are precision-cut and feature a 45-degree bearing rim tilt to help further enhance attack, resonance and sustain for optimal sonic performance.
The new stylish low-profile ISO mounting system improves the tonal resonance of each mounted volume, offering additional sustain, while the 2.3 mm thick triple zigzag steel rims minimize the risk of unwanted subtones. All Premier mounts are equipped with integral memory locks for maximum stability and reliable setup and breakdown — ideal for working drummers.
