Matrix mixer Tascam MX-8A

The Tascam MX-8A Matrix Mixer is a powerful and flexible DSP solution for professional installation sound that combines 10×10 routing with high-quality microphone preamps and advanced digital signal processing. Eight microphone/line inputs and eight line outputs, complemented by a stereo USB interface, allow the device to be integrated into a wide variety of installation projects - from meeting and conference rooms to restaurants, courtrooms, shops, or classrooms.

Thanks to the built-in DSP, each input supports a 4-band parametric EQ, compressor, automatic level control, high-pass and low-pass filters, PAD function, and phantom power. The output section features a 10-band EQ, limiter, delay, and filters to optimize the sound depending on the room acoustics.

The MX-8A allows you to create up to 8 independent mixes and assign them to the appropriate output zones. Ambient noise reduction and compensation functions ensure clear and intelligible announcements in environments with varying noise levels.

Configuration of the device is performed via the user-friendly Tascam MX Connect app for Mac/Windows/iOS/Android, with a simplified EZ Connect version available for end users. For added convenience, remote control via Ethernet or RS-232C is available, as well as integration with the RC-W100 wall controller.

The MX-8A stores up to 50 configuration scenes, and a future update will expand timed automation capabilities. The device also functions as a USB audio interface with support for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, making it a versatile tool for installation and recording environments.
