The MIDAS M32R LIVE is a compact, mid-format digital console that combines legendary Midas sound with modern ergonomics and premium cabinet materials. Lightweight alloy and carbon elements provide high strength at a lower weight, while the 5" color TFT display and backlit encoders make operation intuitive even in open venues. The Midas PRO motorized faders are rated for 1,000,000 cycles, so the console can withstand intensive tours and daily use.
The sound is handled by Midas' proprietary PRO series microphone preamps combined with high-quality Cirrus Logic ADCs (up to 192 kHz, 114 dB dynamic range) and a 40-bit moving computational core. The ultra-low latency architecture (~0.8 ms on input/output and ~1.1 ms on the network) provides transparent and dynamic sound without compromise. It is for this naturalness and "analog" warmth that Midas is appreciated by leading live sound and studio recording engineers.
The workflow is focused around a well-thought-out Channel Strip section, View buttons and Sends on Fader mode, which speeds up the creation of monitor mixes. The M32-EDIT application provides a 100-band RTA/spectrogram for precise EQ tuning. The virtual FX rack provides 16 powerful plug-ins (over 50 effects), physically modeled after classic instruments - from compressors inspired by the Urei 1176, Teletronix LA-2A and Fairchild 670, to Lexicon-level reverbs and Pultec-style EQs.
Connectivity is the M32R LIVE's strong point. The built-in DN32-LIVE card allows simultaneous recording/playback of 32x32 channels via USB 2.0 and offline multi-channel recording to two SD/SDHC cards (without a computer) with session markers. Two AES50 (SuperMAC) ports support up to 96x96 channels on the network, ULTRANET transmits 16 channels to P16 personal mixers, and Ethernet opens up remote control (M32-EDIT, M32-MIX for iPad, M32-Q for iOS/Android). Optional ADAT, MADI or Dante cards extend integration into any FOH, broadcast or studio system.
