Deep Purple is a British rock band founded in London in 1967. They are known as pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, though their musical style has evolved over the years. Initially, the band played in the psychedelic and progressive rock genres, but by 1970, their sound became heavier. The band is also famous for their loud performances, including a concert in 1972 at the Rainbow Theatre in London, during which they were listed in the Guinness World Records as "the loudest band on the planet".
Deep Purple's "Machine Head" album has been given new life through a remix by Dweezil Zappa, the son of the legendary Frank Zappa. The reimagined version of the classic 1972 album offers new stereo and Dolby Atmos mixes. The updated edition includes not only fresh mixes but also previously unreleased concert recordings, including a 1972 performance in London and a newly revealed 1971 concert from Montreux, Switzerland. This release marks the 50th anniversary of "Machine Head" and has become a special event for fans. The remix preserves the magic of the original sound while offering new perspectives thanks to modern technologies.
