Description

David Bowie is a British rock musician, singer, producer, audio engineer, composer, artist, actor. He played many musical instruments: saxophone, guitar, keyboards, harmonica, koto, mandolin, viola, violin, cello and stylophone. He also acted in movies - his filmography includes more than 30 films. Over the course of his career, Bowie's albums have sold more than 136 million copies, according to a 2003 Sunday Express report, Bowie was the second richest musician in the UK after Paul McCartney.

“Low” is David Bowie's eleventh studio album, released in 1977. It was the first in the "Berlin Trilogy" that brought together Bowie, Tony Visconte, and Brian Eno. After moving to France to overcome drug addiction, Bowie experimented with electronic and ambient music. The album has two sides: the first with straightforward songs that reflect his state of mind, and the second with instrumental tracks that convey Berlin's musical observations. The cover, taken from the movie "The Man Who Fell to Earth", is a visual joke - "low profile". Despite RCA's initial misgivings, the album became a hit, charting high and spawning two singles: "Sound and Vision" and "Be My Wife".

The album contains 11 tracks.

  • Side A:
    • Speed Of Life
    • Breaking Glass
    • What In The World
    • Sound And Vision
    • Always Crashing In The Same Car
    • Be My Wife
    • A New Career In A New Town
  • Side B:
    • Warszawa
    • Art Decade
    • Weeping Wall
    • Subterraneans
