Neumann MA 1 is a professional system for automatic calibration and alignment of studio monitors, providing highly accurate sound reproduction in any room, from home studios to professional control rooms. Using an individually calibrated measurement microphone, the system analyzes the acoustic environment and automatically generates optimal parameters for frequency response, signal arrival time, and volume level.
MA 1 employs unique algorithms to correct room acoustics, effectively compensating for room modes, which enhances clarity, consistency across monitors, and accuracy in low-frequency reproduction, reverbs, and spatial imaging. As a result, users obtain a uniform and controlled monitoring system without the need for additional plugins or special drivers.
The system is compatible with network-enabled KH Line monitors and analog models connected via the KH 750 DSP/AES67 subwoofer. MA 1 ensures optimal alignment of stereo pairs and systems with subwoofers, adjusts phase characteristics, and allows seamless continuation of mixing work across different environments. All calibration parameters are stored directly in the monitors or subwoofer.
The calibration process is simple and intuitive, requiring no specialized acoustic knowledge: simply connect the monitors and measurement microphone to your interface, and the software automatically analyzes the room characteristics and applies the necessary corrections. The system supports saving and managing multiple configurations for different studio environments.
MA 1 also offers the possibility of further expansion for multichannel systems and immersive audio formats via the optional Multichannel Extension, making the system a flexible tool for professional monitoring and high-precision audio work.
