Description

Elton John is a British rock musician, composer and pianist who has become a true legend on the world stage. Born on March 25, 1947, in Pinner, Great Britain, under the name Reginald Kenneth Dwight, he has shown remarkable musical talent since childhood. Thanks to his unique combination of brilliant piano playing, powerful vocals and author's signature, Elton John has won the hearts of listeners around the world, and has won five Grammy Awards and the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire. His career spans a wide range of musical styles, from rock 'n' roll and psychedelic rock to soft rock and pop rock.

Too Low For Zero is Elton John's seventeenth studio album, released in 1983. The record symbolized his triumphant comeback after several less successful releases and marked a new creative wave for the artist in the 80s. It is the first album in a long time in which John, Topin and the classic '70s band lineup work together again, and the result is music that harmonizes a modern sound with Elton's signature emotionality. The hit “I'm Still Standing” was an anthem of resilience and optimism, cementing John's status as an MTV-era pop culture icon, while the tender ballad “I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues,” embellished with Stevie Wonder's harmonica, showcased his lyrical depth. All the songs on the album were written in duet with Topin – and you can feel it: the lyrics are full of meaning and the melodies are full of vitality.

The album contains 10 tracks:

Side A:

  • A1. Cold As Christmas (In The Middle Of The Year)
  • A2. I'm Still Standing
  • A3. Too Low For Zero
  • A4. Religion
  • A5. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues

Side B:

  • B1. Crystal
